CREW
My name is Erika and you can call me Your Crewness. Welcome to the virtual crew room!
In my opinion, cooperation across all parties involved in tour and show planning and execution is the key. This includes the artist and their team, other acts and crew, promoters and local crew, and vendors. It is our job as crew to do our best to make shows a breeze for the artist who can then concentrate on giving their all on stage. We all work toward the same goal, which is to make the fans happy for one night at a time. This is my main driving force as a crew member and the base concept behind Your Crewness.
For cooperation to be truly fruitful, mutual respect must exist for the crew to give their best. This means that every crew, regardless of any internal or external factors, should be treated equally important and supported in making the show happen.
This can be extended to the relationship between the artist and crew - we work with the artist on the same line to deliver memorable experiences to the fans. Live entertainment is equally a passion project for the crew as it is for the artist. The artist makes the show rock and we, the crew, make it roll. The show will not happen without the other.
This is the story behind the name Your Crewness - a reference to teamwork and a light play on words. My artist lovingly called me "The Queen of the North" on my tours as a tour manager, which nicely matches the message. What started as a simple blog to support my fellow crew during the pandemic will soon evolve into crewness through the virtual crew room - online and on the road. Wherever you roll, my fellow crew member!

INCLUSIVITY
We are building an inclusivity rider in cooperation with Live Out L!ve Foundation. The rider template will be available for a free download here soon.
Inclusion in live events means people can fully participate and do their job safely, with dignity, and without extra barriers because of who they are or what they need. This can take many forms - visible and non-visible - and it is not just one thing.
At Live Production Summit 2026, we held a session about inclusivity and collected information on what an ideal inclusivity rider could look like in the live production and touring industry. The goal was to set the bar for inclusivity and create a practical starting rider template that the industry can adopt and evolve.
The template will be flexible to fit various needs and types of shows and tours. It can be seen as a tool to improve working conditions, retention, and professionalism by using inclusivity as a practical standard, and not a moral lecture. It is encouraged to be spread around and used widely so that one day, it will become a standard part of a show advance.
